ಉರಿಗಂಜೆ ಸಿರಿಗಂಜೆ ಶರಧಿಯ ಭಯಕಂಜೆ
ಹಾವಿಗಂಜೆ ಕತ್ತಿಯ ಧಾರೆಗಂಜೆ
ಒಂದಕಂಜುವೆ, ಒಂದಕಳುಕುವೆ
ಈ ಪರಧನ, ಪರಸತಿ ಎರಡಕ್ಕೆ
ಹಿಂದೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ರಾವಣ ತಾನೇನಾದ
ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರುಣಿಸೋ ಪುರಂದರವಿಠಲ ||

Neither the fire nor of wealth’s oppression
Nor the ocean, serpent, or a sword’s coercion
However, two I dread and fear
Another man’s wealth and his wedded dear
Wary of Ravana’s fate of the yore
