Uplifting the Dvaita philosophy—the true meaning of the Vedas and the Puranas—Jagadguru Srimanmadhwacharya has composed 37 scriptures. These 37 scriptures are popularly titled as “Sarvamoola”. Sri Madhwacharya got these scriptures transcribed by His ascetic disciples. Sri Hrishikeshateertha, Sri Madhwacharya’s first disciple, has transcribed the Sarvamoola Granthas with his own hands. These authentic palm-leaf manuscripts have been preserved in our organization even to this day.
About 25 years ago, at the behest of His Holiness Sri Vidyadheeshateertha Swamiji, the task of studying these palm-leaf manuscripts, which are as much as 7 centuries old, was taken up. Besides this study, measures were also taken to conserve these palm-leaf scripts. In association with the American organization Tara Prakashana, these scriptures were preserved using modern techniques. Digital copies of the scriptures have been stored in microfilms. This significant task was led by the well-known Vedanta scholar Vidyavachaspathi Bannanje Govindacharya. This conservation task has been highly benefitted by his knowledge and experience.
